Established in 2010, Garvey|Simon is both a private dealer and art advisory service with locations in New York City and the Bay Area, CA. Co-founded by advisor/dealer Elizabeth K. Garvey and contemporary collector, Catherine G. Simon, the gallery’s focus is on contemporary drawing, painting, works on paper, unusual materials, design, and photography. We are also active on the secondary market, especially with major female artists of the 20th century. In addition, we also enjoy championing artists from the Midwest.

About Catherine G. Simon
Catherine is a Co-Founder of Garvey|Simon and the Director of the San Anselmo, California location.
Beginning an art collection in her early 20s, Catherine discovered that early access to the fine art world was rare. As her collection grew, she became aware of this lack of approachability to art among the general population. This disparity became the impetus of Elizabeth and Catherine’s business collaboration in Garvey|Simon (in 2010). Their aim is to make fine art accessible, enjoyable and to assist in educating and building meaningful collections, as well as curating a strong contemporary program.
Catherine received her Bachelor of Arts from St. Louis University (’01). She serves on the boards of many non-profit organizations. A champion of holistic health, Catherine is a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM and works one-on-one with clients. Weaving her love of health, the arts and access, Catherine facilitates art and wellness courses at the Indianapolis Women’s Prison, LEATH unit for mothers.
She lives and works in Marin County, California.
